A Guide To Total Body Wellness

First things first, what is total body wellness?

At Revive, we firmly believe that being healthy isn’t just about physical well-being, but mental and spiritual health as well. We’ve created a guide full of all of the services, resources, and tips that we offer our clients to help them maintain a happy and healthy life.

  1. HYDRATION. We cannot stress to our clients enough the importance of proper hydration when it comes to total body wellness. While water consumption is extremely important, so is water retention. One may drink a gallon of water a day yet hardly retain it. Why is that? Carbs and sodium. By increasing carbohydrate and sodium intake (in the right ways), we give our bodies the ability to retain more of the water that we are consuming. Products like Thrive’s Thirst was formulated to boost endogenous electrolytes (particularly sodium), allowing the body to retain far more water, thus hydrating the body much better.

  2. Nutrition. We all know that food is the gas that fuels our body which is why the Revive Wellness team is proud to offer our clients the THRIVE 3-step nutrition system to help fill in nutritional gaps. This 3 step system, comprising of 2 capsules, one vitamin-packed shake, and a derma fusion technology patch is a great place for anyone to start their healthy lifestyle journey. For those who want to take things a step further and really dive into what it means to fuel your body, we offer our clients Nutrition Coaching packages with Coach Heather Fogle. Coach Heather’s passion is to help her clients find their WOE (Way of Eating). Rather than a traditional “diet”, this way of eating will be customized to YOUR lifestyle and YOUR goals. What works for one may not work for all which is why Coach Heather designed her program to be completely customizable for each client.

  3. Detox. Don’t forget to give your body a break every once in a while. No matter how hard we try, or how healthy we eat, there is an unavoidable amount of harsh chemicals that make their way into our bodies through food, drinks, and even air pollution, This is why we recommend allowing your body to detox every so often to help filter out those toxins that can build up and damage our bodies over time. As simple as 3 capsules in the morning and 3 capsules at night, this 10-day Detox is the perfect way to rid your body of harsh and unruly metals and toxins and reset your metabolic system. Not interested in trying our 10-day detox just yet? Our Wellness Center has another option for you! Our double occupancy infrared sauna service offers detoxification and relaxation wrapped up in one warm, calming service. Step into our 130° far-infrared sauna and breathe in the Himalayan salt air as you purify and detoxify your body under the full spectrum chromotherapy lights. At just $35 for an hour-long session, this service is the perfect way to get in a quick mid-week detox.

  4. Massage. While seemingly a luxury, it is, in reality, more of a necessity than you may realize. When it comes to massage, there is no better way to reduce cortisol levels, improve circulation and kickstart the lymphatic system. Our bodies undergo a tremendous amount of physical and mental stress every day, even if our jobs only entail sitting at a desk. By nature, we are flexaholics and workaholics, and over time both of these habits can wreak havoc on our bodies. While a deep tissue massage can help to relieve some of that tension, as a standalone service, it is nothing compared to the benefits that come from our Cranial Release Technique accompanied by a massage. Adding a Cranial Release to any massage service is the best way to truly decompress your body. By taking your body out of fight or flight mode, the Cranial Release Technique performed by our Licensed Massage Therapists allows them to get deeper into your target areas while simultaneously allowing your body to drift into a state of relaxation like you’ve never experienced before.

  5. Skincare. Much like massage, skincare can often be viewed as a luxury more than a necessity which is a stigma our team wants to change. There are several benefits to routine skincare aside from the obvious acne treatment and fine-line/wrinkle reduction. Our skin is the largest organ of the body, protecting us from microbes and helping to regulate body temperature. By taking care of our skin with routine exfoliation, and detoxification treatments, we are taking care of our most vital protective layer. The wellness center offers a number of different facials to target certain areas. From Microdermabrasion to back facials and chemical peels, our team of licensed estheticians have a variety of services to suit all of our clients' needs.

  6. Exercise. Not the most athletic type? No problem. There are plenty of ways to exercise your body without enduring an hour-long boot camp class or running a mile every morning. Even 5 minutes of yoga or simple stretching every morning can make the world of a difference both physically and mentally. In fact, it is scientifically proven that even minimal amounts of exercise daily can help to reduce disease and improve psychological wellbeing. Don’t know where to get started on your exercise journey? No problem! Remember Coach Heather Fogle that we mentioned in our nutrition discussion? She offers fitness training as well! No matter how you do it, whether it be a brisk morning walk with the dog or a few minutes of stretching before you go to bed, make sure to give your body the daily movement it needs.
